Competition Stages

Stage 1: Spelling & Vocabulary Challenge (40 Marks)

Participants will be evaluated on:
•    Oral spelling accuracy
•    Vocabulary knowledge and word meanings
•    Word origins and usage

Stage 2: Reading Challenge (30 Marks)

Participants will read a passage provided by the organizers.

Judging Criteria:
•    Pronunciation
•    Fluency
•    Accuracy
•    Expression
•    Awareness of punctuation

Stage 3: Speaking Challenge (30 Marks)

Participants will deliver a short speech on a topic assigned by the organizers or selected from an approved topic list.

Judging Criteria:
•    Confidence
•    Clarity
•    Pronunciation
•    Grammar
•    Vocabulary usage
•    Fluency
•    Eye contact with the camera
•    Voice projection and expression
•    Virtual Competition Guidelines

Competition Rules:

The competition will be conducted online through the designated virtual platform.
Participants must have a stable internet connection.
A device with a working camera and microphone is required throughout the competition.
Cameras must remain ON during all competition stages.
Participants should compete from a quiet, well-lit environment.
Use of dictionaries, mobile phones, AI tools, notes, or assistance from another person is strictly prohibited during the competition.
Judges’ decisions will be final.
