Health and Wellness thru Tai Chi, Qigong, and Meditation

CourseGraphic This class focuses on popular Qigong routines, including Six Sound Healing Form and Eight Section Brocade, as well as focusing on practicing Yang Style and Chen Style Tai Chi, to provide a well-rounded fitness workout that readies the mind, body and spirit.

These 90-minute Saturday workout sessions are designed to accommodate adult learning and are suitable for all fitness levels. The program is based on the Ohlone College Tai Chi and Qigong courses with transferrable university credits. The exercises address safety in motion, balance, and confidence in carrying out daily activities. Forms include Eight Section Brocade, Muscle Tendon Changing Classic, Yang Tai Chi routines, and Qigong Tai Chi Exercises. Meditation include Guided Visualization, breathing techniques, walking meditation. Over the course of each session, the participant will develop and/or enhance his/her own mind, body, and spirit practice from the Qigong perspective.
