Courses



By clicking on a topic, you will be able to sort through a list of titles from within that subject area. From there you can go to individual class descriptions and choose the right one. Please note that any class for youths will have a grade range in the title. If a class does not have a grade range included in the title, that class will be for adults. 


For all Ohlone For Kids and Teens Summer 2019 Program, please select categories only from "Mission San Jose High School" or "Newark Memorial High School". All Summer 2019 Program offerings are labeled as following:

"Class Name - Session, Period (Grade)"

Please register early as we offer a first come, first serve registration policy. Since we expect our classes to fill quickly we encourage you to sign up for classes as soon as possible. All course enrollment will be assessed 7 days prior to the first day of class. Failure for a course to meet minimum enrollment requirements will result in class cancellation. No class switches/cancellations allowed after Day 2 of each session.

Please note: If next to a class it reads either "Closed" or "Call 510-979-7590" this means the class is full.  We are accepting students on a waitlist if you call 510-979-7590 or email comm_educ@ohlone.edu, however, we cannot guarantee that a spot will open up for your child in a given class, and thus recommend you also find an alternative class to enroll in. 

Ohlone For Kids and Teens is a self-supporting program. All class registarions are final and no refunds will be issused unless a class is cancelled. Class changes may be allowed for a $25 class change fee per class. Classes are non-transferrable.

The programs chosen to be included are selected to meet the unique needs of our community. Each course offers an enticing perspective on interesting topics. All Community Education instructors are interviewed and selected for their expertise in a given subject area. Their courses are intended to provide an engaging learning environment and to promote personal and professional enrichment, growth, and development.
