AI & Creative Coding 

12 Weeks | 2 Hours per Week
Step into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence and creative coding using p5.js. In this 12-week immersive program, students learn core coding concepts while building AI-powered, interactive projects that respond to speech, visuals, and movement.
Guided closely by a YoungGates mentor, students code from Day 1 in a fun, supportive environment. Each session blends learning with hands-on practice, helping students build confidence, logic, and creativity.
By the end of Module 1, students will create interactive AI projects combining speech recognition, visual animation, and AI-based controls.

What Students Will Learn

  • AI fundamentals: speech recognition, object detection, and pose estimation
  • p5.js basics: drawing, animation, events, and interactivity
  • Creative coding: blending visuals with AI inputs
  • Coding logic: conditions, loops, and debugging
  • Project-based problem solving and experimentation

12-Week Learning Journey

Weeks 1–4: Creative Coding Foundations
  • p5.js setup, syntax, and drawing basics
  • Animations, colors, and event-driven coding
  • Introduction to speech recognition
Mini-projects: Voice-controlled drawings, shape generators, interactive visuals
Weeks 5–8: AI Meets Interaction
  • Using AI inputs to control creative projects
  • Speech-based commands and logic control
  • Building interactive games and visual experiences
Mini-projects: Voice-controlled apps, enhanced Snake game, AI-driven visuals
Weeks 9–12: Recognition, Motion & Final Project
  • Object detection and recognition concepts
  • Pose estimation using PoseNet
  • Designing and refining a final AI creative project
Mini-projects: Logo identifier, motion-based animations, custom AI creations

Mentorship & Learning Support

  • Live mentor-led coding sessions
  • Real-time feedback, debugging, and guidance
  • Encouragement for creativity and independent exploration

Final Project Showcase

Students present their favorite AI project in a live demo session.
Parents see how AI, speech, and movement-based coding come together in real interactive applications.
