1:1 Begin C++ Coding (Gr. 6-12)

Class Experience & Program Overview
C++ is one of the most widely used programming languages and a great starting point for anyone new to coding. It teaches core programming concepts that form the foundation for learning other languages in the future.

This 12-week hands-on course is designed to help students learn the fundamentals of C++ through guided lessons, interactive exercises, and real coding projects. No prior programming experience is required.

• Session 1: Introduction to C++, Data Types, Strings, Variables, Naming Rules
• Session 2: Continued Practice: Data Types, Strings, Expressions
• Session 3: Writing Comments in C++, Arithmetic Operators
• Session 4: Relational & Logical Operators, Constructing Expressions
• Session 5: Conditional Statements: if, else, else if
• Session 6: While Loops – Repeating Code Based on Conditions
• Session 7: For Loops – Repeating Code a Set Number of Times
• Session 8: Continued Concepts + Begin Project Work
• Session 9: Continued Practice + Project Development
• Sessions 10,11,12: Final Project – Applying All Concepts Learned

What to Expect:

Students will receive notes and assignments after each class to help reinforce learning during the week.
In addition to the final project, students will be encouraged to create and submit individual projects for feedback.
The program will be flexibly paced to ensure each student grasps the concepts before moving forward.
